► 2012 Porsche Panamera TURBO S (550 hp) on the road
The new Panamera Turbo S is a unique combination of performance and efficiency, driving dynamics and comfort. The 4.8 litre, V8 biturbo charged engine delivers 550 hp (410 kW), ten percent or 50 hp (37 kW) more than the already very powerful engine in the Panamera Turbo. By the same token, the torque also increases from 700 to 750 Nm. In the “Sport” and “Sport Plus” mode of the standard Sport Chrono Package Turbo and during kick-down in normal mode, the eight cylinder engine delivers fully 800 Nm with the so-called overboost function. The power pack is behind the new top-of-the-range Panamera’s record sprint times. Thanks to Launch Control, 100 km/h (62 mph) is reached in 3.8 seconds; the top speed is 306 km/h (191 mph). Despite the increased performance, fuel consumption remains at the moderate level of the Panamera Turbo — yet another example of “Porsche Intelligent Performance”. In the NEDC the Gran Turismo covers 100 kilometres (62 miles) on 11.5 litres of fuel. Fuel consumption falls to 11.3 litres per 100 km (25 mpg imp.) when fitted with the 19 inch, all-season tyres with optimised rolling resistance developed for the Panamera by Michelin. The increased performance compared with the Panamera Turbo can be attributed to two main enhancements: Improved turbochargers with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels and modified engine control. I love the availability of the manual in the 4S now…so awesome. it is a love it or hate it design, but putting big wheels on it definitely makes a difference, and TechArt’s Grand GT kit to actually makes it look beautiful in my opinion. If I had my choice of one, it would be a 4S manual with a Techart Grand GT kit…

The Panamera is Porshes 2nd best selling car! Just wait for the Panamera Coupe to come out, with the large rear seats gone the bubble rear went with them! The convertible will rid the bubble too and after that Porsche just might put the new 911 tail light in!!
Let me get this right, The Panamera is available with a manual transmission ‘only in Europe’, yet the Cayenne (that’s an SUV in case you were unaware) is available with a manual in the U.S. in both standard and GTS trims.

My parents drives toyota, I started driving hondas and Toyota. I soon as I made more money I went German. Nothing wrong with the toyotas and hondas, but there are reasons why people drive Benz and BMW, Audi for that matter. It’s exceptional and crafted better. Gtr are great rides for the price, but if you can afford one a Ferrari is a better car, if you argue you don’t know cars.

Panamera is one of the biggest, most luxurious big sedans out there. Its as big as Mercedes S class and just as luxurious. Its weighs over 2 tons, it has 560hp, and YET, it goes from 0-100 in 3,5 sec, can hit over 330 km/h easily, and can go around Nurburgring in less than 7:55 minutes…
the idea behind this car is four uncompromised, which means a streched out porsche 911 for four with all comforts. so if you are going for porsche 911 look. you cannot make it like a sedan. that is why it looks the way it is.
i dont care how much power they put into the Panamera, the REAREND is HIDEOUS if they made the back of the car look better, than it would be perfect, it is still an awesome car, but i gag when i see one pass me on the road
Nissan gtr are over rated as shit and will value. Porsche are some of the worlds best handling cars. Put a trash gtr againt a gt2 rs tell which is better

I love this thing for two simple reasons – the awesome interior and the engine in 550hp guise…and also I admire the fact that lots of people call it ugly and hate on it. I would buy one right away if my lotto tickets ever frickin work(R8 manual for my other essential ride). The Turbo S is outrageous, what fun!
It’s sad how people hate on Porsche and say this is a silly piece of junk that spoiled their image…. Panamera TURBO S, a 4 door sedan that hits 0-60 in 3.6s not to mention it’s a full luxury car… i don’t know about you all but thats pretty damn impressive. Quit hating, it is by far more impressive and better looking than most japanese/american cars on the road.
