Asus Transformer Prime update brings face unlock and more

Asus has updated its UK Facebook page with release notes for an over-the-air firmware update for the Transformer Prime, following the January update to Ice Cream Sandwich. As revealed yesterday, the ICS 9.4.2.28 update will add a face unlock feature — first seen in stock Android 4.0 — and additional system bar unlock settings for showing and hiding system information. The release notes show a GPS dongle fix, support for Bluetooth HDP, a “third party app upgrade,” and other bug fixes. The update has only rolled out to some customers in the UK thus far, but it’s reasonable to expect that we’ll see it in the US soon as well.
