Sure, it’s not the first world-class cybercrime-fighting group we’ve become aware of, it’s also not daily you hear the likes of Intel, Lockheed Martin and AMD buddying up on research. The business are aiming to resolve the “intricate issues” in cyber security, with the private, non-profit group (which also features Honeywell and RSA/EMC) aspiring to work someplace between government-funded protection research and commercial products currently out there. The Cyber Safety Research Alliance is already in talks with NIST, and plans to launch a safety research seminar early next year. The CSRA will certainly also begin tracking cyber security R&D, “prioritize” those previously mentioned difficulties, and hopefully come together for the greater good.
